Mary writes on her Instagram the day after Sketchbook LA: “Yesterday’s class left me in such a dreamy state. I have this crazy idea, to one day teach a class for creatives on how to sketch, to elevate the industry standard, to build a community of inspired creatives, and to change an industry one sketch at a time”
The Sketchbook Series for creative professionals is a workshop taught by Mary Phan, creative director of Very Mary Inspired. Mary has utilized her sketching skills in her former discipline in interior design, including event design and planning. In The Sketchbook Series, attendees learned the basics of sketching, a skill that is invaluable to any creative business. Sketching has become necessary for today’s top event designers, event planners, cake bakers, florists, or any creative individual needing visually communicate ideas. Sketchbook LA brought out creatives not only from So Cal but attendees traveled as from San Francisco, Utah, and Saudi Arabia!
