At Sweet Rose Creamery they make small batches of homemade ice cream using only the best ingredients. They use organic milk and cream from Clover Organic Farms and eggs from Chine Valley Ranchers. Both suppliers are antibiotic and hormone free! Each week, Executive Chef and Co- Owner Shiho Yoshikawa shops at the Santa Monica farmers’ market for seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs to mix with Clover Organic Farms dairy, organic eggs, and sugar at Sweet Rose Creamery. In keeping with her purist sensibility, she favors locally grown products that make each spoonful of ice cream memorably delicious. “If you have a scoop of ice cream and it doesn’t really taste like what it’s advertised, it’s really disappointing to me.” She believes simply that peach ice cream should tastes exactly like a peach.
Sweet Rose Creamery pasteurizes on site and makes all ice cream, sorbets, and dairy free ice creams on premises from scratch every day. Pasteurizing on site and starting recipes from scratch allows them to have control over the variety and quality of the ingredients chosen. They feature 12 or more flavors in their stores daily, as well as other treats like fruit pops, sundaes, milk shakes, or ice cream cakes & pies. Their flavors and featured items change each month and their menu focuses on seasonality and a variety of fresh, unique flavors all year round. It’s a battle on what to order, the butterscotch crunch sundae with vanilla ice cream, butterscotch, pecan brittle, fresh whipped cream topped with crispy almonds OR an ice cream pie with a graham cracker crust filled with chocolate ice cream and homemade toasted marshmallows. You can be a part of this ice cream experience as Sweet Rose Creamery has grown into three locations in Santa Monica, Mid City on Beverly Blvd in LA and Brentwood Country Mart shop.
