Each and every New York Bridal Market Week means new beauties released by internationally recognized designer Monique Lhuillier. She has built a brand that is know as one of America’s foremost couture bridal and ready-to-wear brands that has become synonymous with luxury, femininity, allure, and unparalleled glamour. When Monique designs gowns for her brides, she keeps in mind the womanly figure, as well as how bride’s want to feel on their big day- beautiful and breathtaking. Each detail is specifically placed, and even the comfort level is taken into account. The part that hugs the bride’s body on the inside of the gown is lined with pure silk, making it soft and comfortable so that being uncomfortable is the very last thing her bride’s need to worry about.
Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2017 Collection is dreamy, elegant, and incredibly feminine. Bow detailing is featured on almost all of the gowns, along with layers upon layers of incredible Chantilly lace… One of her signatures. Celebrating her 20th year in business, Monique was feeling nostalgic this season and mined her earliest bridal collections from the 90’s for inspiration. She reimagined some of her first silhouettes and details, like deep V-necklines, which dipped even lower here; scooped-out backs, which were sexier than ever; and satin sashes around the waist. Monique has never been afraid to play with subtle hues in wedding gowns. Colors such as nude and blush, that one might think could wash out certain skin tones, look incredible on everybody by using her technique of layering different shades of tulle to create the perfectly subtle touch of color. Also featured in the Fall 2017 Collection is flowy layers of horsehair, that create such movement in the dress. This is just one of the many alluring touches shown throughout this magnificent collection.
