When planning a wedding, its not just about the dress and the flowers but looking for the right venue is just as crucial. According to Laura who wed James this past summer as she describes her thoughts on the iconic Vibiana. “When looking for a venue for our wedding, we had two criteria. First we were looking for something local as both of us grew up in Southern California and most of our friends and family live nearby. Second we wanted a unique venue. Something different from the traditional hotel ballroom or beach front setting. We wanted something dramatic yet classic and romantic. We fell in love with the Vibiana the moment we walked in. We loved everything from the high ceilings, incredible detail work throughout and of course the beautiful marble altar” We can’t help but agree with her. If you haven’t visited the Vibiana before, it’s a bucket list item. Its grandeur is like a tourist attraction but its exclusivity makes it that more desirable. The moment you enter the hall, you take a quick gasp of air and then say aaahh to all the magic. Immediately your head takes a full twirl and your eyes start focusing on woodwork, the columns, the arches, the marble altar and then you start thinking where will you stand when you say I do!
The perk with booking Vibiana is the automatic culinary expertise of “Top Chef Master” Neal Fraser that comes with. Not an ordinary wedding menu. Laura and James served Goat Cheese Tarts with Golden Beets and Parsley, Corn Soup with Dungeness Crab, Tuna Tartare with Seaweed Aioli, Crisp Potato Beef Sliders with Arugula, Gruyere and Garlic Aioli Duck Prosciutto Wrapped Scallop with Garlic Nage. For their main course, guests had the option of Grilled Salmon with Leek Fondue, Wilted Spinach and Cabernet Basil Sauce or Prime Hanger Steak with Rustic Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Gremolata or BBQ Tofu with Grilled Asparagus, White Carrot Puree and Saba. Laura and James enhanced the space by selecting complimenting white floral: dahlias, roses, tulips, stock, orchids and peonies. They were careful to not make the wedding feel too cold so they made sure the foundation of the table linens included tulle underlays and lace overlays from Wildflower Linens along with romantic Bride and Groom chair covers. From dinner music to dance vibrations, Elevated Pulse turned up the volume with the glow stick light party.
