From the second Chelsea and Dave saw Vibiana, they knew it was the perfect Southern California luxury venue to host their ceremony and reception. Along with Chef Neal Fraser & Co. as the in house celebrated culinary talent, they looked no further. Fraser, along with his partners Amy Knoll Fraser and Bill Chait, took over operations of Vibiana in late 2012 and have spent the time since upgrading the facility with a state of the art lighting and sound system, sound abating drapery, high quality, custom rental equipment, a seasoned and talented event management staff, and an extensive dining and craft libations program.
Chelsea describes her thoughts on Vibiana: There are not too many historical venues in LA that are this size. I wanted something a little bit more classic but with the right lighting and decorations, it could still look fresh and modern. It has a beautiful garden outside that we used for cocktail hour while the inside was being converted from the ceremony to the reception. They incorporated classic white orchid flowers as the main focal element, a flower that is expressive of timeless elegance. Continuing with the same thread of timeless romance, they hired LA based fashion and wedding photographer Samuel Lippke to document their wedding after seeing his work in Vogue Magazine. Coincidentally, they actually hired his brother Ira Lippke in New York for their engagements photos. Samuel flawlessly incorporated the Vibiana architecture, from the outdoor space to the indoor marble and moldings, by staging their portraits to celebrate high fashion. Chelsea was absolutely stunning in her lace Marchesa wedding gown… and the back of dress, we can’t stop staring at the details.
