My most recent travels took me down south to Cabo San Lucas, a city that is beautifully situated on the tip of Mexico’s 1,000-mile Baja California peninsula. Cabo San Lucas is a travel destination like no other that combines great weather, exotic scenery and five-start luxury. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. Secluded beaches and picturesque rock formations offer a truly relaxing getaway; world-class golf courses with break-taking scenery guarantee an unforgettable experience on the links and thrill seekers can dive into every imaginable water sport from scuba diving to snorkeling to surfing. When the sun sets, playtime continues with numerous gourmet dining options and a bustling nightlife. With a year-round warm climate and an international airport just minutes away, Cabo San Lucas is the ideal travel destination. There are many non-stop flights leaving from Orange County & Los Angeles and it is easily reachable from other major cities throughout the United States.
Cabo San Lucas knows how to take care of its five-star jetsetters and offers many beautiful resort accommodations. On this visit, I had the pleasure of staying at The Resort at Pedregal, a luxury hotel set in a very private and secluded area yet, still close to town. The property encompasses 24 spectacular mountainside and oceanfront acres, at the point where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. Each guestroom features its own private plunge pool, fireplace, outdoor terrace and a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. There are a number of beachfront pools including an adult’s only pool with a swim-up bar. Overall, the hotel has excellent restaurants, top-notch service, and beautiful décor.
Luxe Tip: Enjoy a relaxing day at the Luna Y Mar Spa. It’s incredible and definitely a must visit. Also be sure to dine at their award-winning restaurant, El Farallon. It’s tucked into the cliffs and offers break-taking views of the Pacific Ocean. You can’t go wrong with their amazing selection of freshly caught fish and the wide selection of rosés and champagnes available at The Champagne Terrace Bar.
