Love Chinese food and dim sum but hate the pink table cloths? Make your way to Capital Seafood at the Irvine Spectrum. It’s not the first restaurant within the Tea Family Empire, but James Tea is the second generation owner who is operating and developing flavors that will make your taste buds beg for more. During the day, dash in for over 100 types of tableside dim sum. Not sure what to order? Don’t fret, here’s what we suggest: BBQ Pork Buns (baked or steamed), Shrimp stuffed with mushrooms, Shrimp with sugar cane, Shu Mai, Rice Noodle Rolls, Spinach Mushroom Dumpling, and Sticky Rice with Pork, just to name a few. For the foodie adventurist, try the Egg Custard Tart for a sweet and savory melt in your mouth experience. We think they steal the title of best Chinese Food Restaurant in OC.
Luxe Tip: Private dining rooms are available and perfect for a birthday bash, corporate gathering, or even Rehearsal Dinners. They have flexible private areas that can accommodate small (20 people), medium (50 people), and large family style feasts (100 people). That’s almost half the restaurant! Talk about a party. Also, before you head out, my must order TOP 4 favorites: Capital House Special Lobster, Capital Filet Mignon, Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp and Chinese Broccoli (aka “Gai Lan”). Wash it down with a Passion fruit Margarita, Lychee martini, or quite possibly the best drink in town, the Moscow mule. Well, even better, the Mongolian mule with infused ginger vodka.
